Who We Are
Walking with Wildlife is the brainchild of Lincolnshire based Mandy West. Mandy is passionate about the natural world and has been a wildlife photographer for a number of years. Her images have been published in books, magazines, charity publications and on company websites such as BBC Earth. She also names travel as her other main passion, having been fortunate enough to visit many places in Asia, including India, Nepal and Sri Lanka as well as places in the UK and Europe. She has also recently spent time in Costa Rica.
Mandy is well traveled, both here in the UK and in faraway places so is knowledgeable about where and when to see wonderful wildlife and scenery. She will be leading/organising all of the trips together with a hand picked team of bird/wildlife experts to accompany the group and qualified, insured drivers to ensure safe exploration of our birding/wildlife areas.
She has visited, usually as a solo traveler, all the places Walking with Wildlife offers trips to so she can research, meet and liaise with experts in the area so to ensure she is happy with the areas/people/bird/wildlife density/diversity that guests will come into contact with.
We work in partnership with established tour providers/guides all over the world
We do not include flights on any of our trips but are always happy to assist you in booking suitable flights.
All our trips are arranged from the UK as are payment facilities for your peace of mind.
Increasingly, photography is a very popular interest and people who take up this fascinating hobby are always on the look-out for new areas and subjects to photograph
Many amateur photographers, particularly with wildlife/nature photography have a desire to find new and interesting birds and wildlife to see and record in a photograph and our mission is to provide trips/tours with like minded people to enjoy these areas, in a gentle informal manner .
We don't aim to offer an intensive birding experience (although our guides are with us 24/7 so are available for more intensive birding sessions should this be required.) We like our guests to experience the places as a whole...to enjoy the culture, food, people and places alongside the wildlife and birds.
